OVERVIEW: A product of nearby Little Elm High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Watts started his college career at Ohio State before transferring to Texas, where he was a fixture in the secondary for the College Football Playoff semifinalists in 2023. His 89 tackles in two seasons saw him make plays in the receiving game and also in the run game, proving he could provide a quick diagnosis from the boundary on outside zone runs. His presence as a safety at the next level seems more likely, as he will be able to transfer his length to rangier positioning.
