2025 NFL Draft Offensive Tackle Prospects

The Cowboys may soon find themselves with an interesting predicament. In 2024, Tyler Guyton was selected with the 29th overall pick in the first round and was starting at left tackle in Week 1. Unfortunately, he battled injuries and generally struggled, which eventually led to concerns about whether he was the long-term solution. Now in 2025, if the best player available on the team’s draft board at pick 12 is another tackle, do the Cowboys grab him? Or having just invested a high pick on the position, should they give Guyton time to develop? But how about Terence Steele at right tackle? While he’s one of the best run blockers in the game, he’s had his own ups and downs in pass protection. Is he a safe bet? Could Dallas be eyeing changes there? And then there’s Asim Richards. A fifth-round pick in 2023, he showed promise in limited action a season ago; some would say more promise than Guyton. So do the Cowboys have their starters already on the roster? Is drafting an offensive tackle not a question of if but rather when? It could be quite the predicament.
